LOCATION AND CLIMATE
Posedarje (Croatia, North Dalmatia) is located in North Dalmatia, region in Croatia. It is located 25 km far from Zadar, on the coast of Novigrad`s sea. It is connected with other parts of Croatia by Adriatic road and highway Zagreb-Split. Municipality Posedarje (consisted of Podgradina, Posedarje, Slivnica, Islam Latinski and Vinjerac) has around 3500 inhabitants.
Climate in area of Posedarje is, like in whole North Dalmatia, Mediterranean. Average year temperature is around 20 C. Posedarje is located in the bottom of mountain Velebit, so in winter time is known wind bora.
HISTORY
Posedarje was first time mentioned in 1219. In times of Turkish attacks, they occupied Posedarje, but it was returned by dukes and nobelmen from Posedarje and Zadar. Last duke of Posedarje was Ante Benja Posedarski. Attraction in Posedarje is Church of St. Spirit.
